MY PHILOSOPHICAL OVERVIEW
INTRODUCTION TO MY PERU: The early Spanish conquistadors commented
on the fact that in nearly all of the Inca shrines, there were no idols.
The obvious assumption was that the idols were of gold and had been
hidden for safekeeping. Perhaps this was true for the Inca shrines,
and perhaps not. But it is important to remember that the Inca were
largely a political entity that had conquered and united many cultures
only a hundred years or so before the Spanish conquest. One can only
guess at what religious/spiritual practices of the original inhabitants
existed before, during, and even after the Inca conquest, much less
after the subsequent conquest of the Inca by the Spanish.
Based upon my experience of the energies at various places of Power
in the Peruvian Andes, I wish to propose another conjecture.
I believe that the alters and niches originally contained no idols
at all. The space was empty, awaiting you, the worshipper. I suspect
that the original religion, pure pagan religion, had you sit on the
alter, and receive the power transmission directly. You needed no priest
nor priestess channel the energy to you, nor to interpret or mediate
for you.
Modern religion can often be dis-empowering. I am convinced that Ancient
spiritual practice was empowering. I personally experienced that power
in many of the sacred places in Peru. I invite you to learn to tune
in and empower yourselves rather than giving your power to others, no
matter how noble or lofty their stated ideal.
MY INVITATION: For those who wish, I can teach you simple techniques
which will enhance your abilities to feel universal energies in your
chakras. Once you can feel energy in your own chakras, you may then
be able to feel the energies of the Power Places directly, as I believe
the ancients intended. I found that the place itself then guided me,
and the teaching of that place revealed itself to me. I gained a growing
feeling of peace and contentment and a knowing that I was more and more
in touch with who I really am and was meant to be.
However I have no intentions of laying my trip on you. I want us all
to go to a place, tune into the energies, and create our own personal
rituals to honor and bring forth whatever is awaiting us at these sacred
sites.
I was trained in the energy schools of Tibet/Nepal/India to feel energy
in my chakras. I have traveled all over this planet of ours and the
Places of Power in the Peruvian Andes are the most powerful I have experienced.
When I was there I was directed to bring back friends who would also
appreciate these energies. Have the energies always been this strong,
or are they emerging now more so than before? I don't know. What I do
know is what I felt and was given, and which is available to you as
well. When I shared my experiences with two of the tour guides I was
with there, they smiled in understanding and led me to even more profound
experiences than I had found on my own. It is these special tour guides
I have arranged to accompany us. These men are very special, yet they
also are very respectful of your experience and seem to offer only when
asked, and otherwise not intrude.
I call myself an intuitive shaman, and our tour is intended to develop
that faculty in you. The process is deceptively simple. Bring along
a few of your favorite objects if you so chose, but leave your rituals
at home. The trick to experiencing a place of power seems to be to:
ARRIVE EMPTY. Then when you are as empty as you can be,
ASK- ask the place how it wishes to be honored. Let each place
indicate to you what if any ritual to perform. It could be as simple
as offering a flower, a pebble or simply an open heart.
REQUEST- ask for what you wish to receive. Ask the spirit elders
of that place to teach you/give you what you need in order to achieve
your next step.
LISTEN/RECEIVE
INTUITIVE OR SHAMANIC ARCHEOLOGY
Caution: There are different truths on different levels. Not all guides
to Peru will agree with my perspectives, and your own inner knowing
may give you a different version to what I have experienced. While some
of my experiences remain constant each time I visit a site, at some
sites my experiences change and broaden each time I visit. Intuitive/Shamanic
Archaeology is not fixed in stone. So I urge you to use my tour, on
one level as a template to try on and gauge by your own experience,
but more so as an invitation to go within and seek your own answers.
Most importantly, I invite you to use this opportunity as a permission
giver to your higher self, to speak to you and lead you to your next
step on the great and wondrous discovering of your very own personal
cosmology---your personal pathway to the shaman and god/goddess within.
Do not become so enamored by the path that you forget the goal. The
goal is higher consciousness and a more intimate relationship with the
divinity.
In Machu Picchu and the other sites in the Andes, as elsewhere on
our planet, there are different guides teaching on different levels.
For example, when you visit Machu Picchu, if you are satisfied with
the conventional guides explanation that "The Condor" was "where the
Inca kept their prisoners", and that the two carved "dish" stones were
used "to grind corn and pigments", then I suspect you will soon discard
this tour, as just too far out and fanciful for you, and that is fine.
Your concepts of The Inca and their times will match your concept of
reality, and you will still enjoy Machu Picchu's beauty and its astounding
feats of architecture, and half a day there will satisfy you. " Been
there, done that", and now you can cross it off your list.
But for those of you who sense there is more to the story, and more
to the mystery and magic of the Inca and pre Inca relationship to the
energies of nature, this tour will lead you on, encourage you to take
your own path and hopefully open you to discoveries your heart has always
longed for, yet your rational mind prevented you from attaining.
So join us, surrendering your rational, western, prove it to me twice
scientific mind, and take the adventure of "try it and see".
